 Security forces retake 70% of Albu-Ajil, Salahuddin

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, an informed source in Salahuddin province announced, that the Iraqi security forces have managed to take back roughly 70 percent of territories in Albu-Ajil village.

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “The security forces backed by al-Hashd al-Sha’bi fighters regained control over 70 percent of lands in the village of Albu-Ajil from its northern and southern axes, located in eastern Tikrit.”

“During the past 24 hours, security forces have carried out intensive artillery strikes on ISIS sites in the village.”

“Security forces have also managed to blockade the entire area of Tikrit,” the source added.
