 Security forces shoot down 2 ISIS spy planes in Anbar, says al-Jazeerah Operations

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – On Monday the commander of al-Jazeerah Operations Maj. Gen. Ali Ibrahim Daboun, announced shooting down two spy planes belonging to the ISIS organization in the areas of Haditha and Bruwana, while pointed out that the organization is trying to find out the whereabouts of the security forces in those areas.

Daboun said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “One of the officers of the 1st regiment of the 27th brigade belonging to the 7th division of the army managed to shoot down a spy plane for ISIS after opening fire against it in the area of Albu Hayat east of Haditha (160 km west of Ramadi), while another officer from the 14th regiment belonging to Haditha police was able to shoot down another spy plane for ISIS in the area of Bruwana in Haditha District.”

Daboun pointed out, “The ISIS organization had tried to find out the whereabouts of the security forces in those areas through those two planes.”
