Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday, that several air strikes destroyed 4 headquarters belonging to the Islamic State and a rockets plant in Nineveh Province.

The ministry said in a press statement, “Iraqi Air Force destroyed four headquarters belonging to the Islamic State group and a rockets plant in Qayrawan area and al-Sena’a area in Nineveh Province.”

“Security forces also destructed a number of vehicles belonging to the Islamic State inside a farm in Tal Afar District, west of the city of Mosul,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, Commander of Iraqi Army Aviation, Lieutenant General Hamed al-Maliki announced that the Army Aviation conducted more than 3250 air strike since the start of Nineveh liberation Operations.

“The majority of airstrike was a night strikes, and inflicted heavy human and material losses on the Islamic State group,” Maliki said.

He also declared that the Army Aviation’s engineers developed US rockets to be used in Mi 28 and Mi 35 aircraft.
