4 soldiers, killed, injured in Shirqat

Salah il-Din (IraqiNews.com) Four soldiers were killed and injured due to an Improvised Explosive Device targeting army patrol to the north of Tikrit city, capital of Salah il-Din province.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “An IED exploded targeting army patrol, thus resulted in killing a soldier and injuring three others at the Left Coast of Shirqat district of northern Tikrit.”

“The explosion caused material damages to one of the patrol’s vehicles, while an army force transported the injured soldiers to a hospital for treatment and sent the dead body to the morgue,” the source pointed out.
