Suicide bombing kills 10, injures 35 soldiers in Tikrit

6666Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) According to a security source in Salahuddin province on Friday,  10 soldiers were killed and 35 others injured by a suicide bombing that targeted an army headquarters located  in the south of Tikrit.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that “a car bomb was driven by a suicide bomber which exploded this evening at the camp of the Iraqi Army in the southern entrance of Dajla (25 km south of Tikrit), killing ten soldiers and 35 others were injured.”

The source, who asked not to be named, added “a security force imposed a security cordon at the scene and transported the injured to the hospital and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department.”
