Train hurtled off tracks in western Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A train transporting the pilgrims from Baghdad to Karbala hurtled off tracks in western Baghdad on Sunday.

Reporter of IraqiNews.com confirmed “One the trains hurtled off tracks in al-Dawoodi area and resulted in hindering the movement of the other trains heading to Karbala province,” noting that “It did not result in casualties by material damages to the train.”

“The Engineering staff hurried to the accident place and managed to resume the other trains movement.”

Meanwhile, a security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The reason behind the stopping the trains is suspicions over a bomb emplaced near the track and when the EOD team reached the place found the suspicions false so the movement resumed.”
