Turkey sent us weapons, began to train Kurdish fighters, says Kurdistan President’s chief of staff

Kurdistan (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Kurdistan Region announced that Turkey has sent weapons and ammunition to the Kurdish fighters.

Hussein said in an interview with Hürriyet Daily News that, “Turkey has already sent cargo of weapons and ammunition to Kurdish fighters, and it also began training Peshmerga troops in northern Iraq.”

When asked whether they’ve received heavy arms or not, he said: “No heavy weapons yet, but I hope that will happen.”
