Turkish warplanes shell border villages in Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Turkish aircraft violated the airspace of Kurdistan Region and shelled several border villages in the Qindil mountains.

The website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday ”The Turkish warplanes violated the airspace of Kurdistan Region at (12:30) of Tuesday night and shelled the border villages of Saly, Khuibian and Kortki,” noting that “The bombing did not result in any human casualties but it caused major material damages to the forests and the environment of the area.”

”The bombing, which lasted for an hour, was implemented by three Turkish warplanes,” the statement added.Turkish warplanes shelled, on Tuesday, Korjaro Mount in Derluk area of Amedi district of Dohuk province.
