Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Security Committee of Diyala Provincial Council announced on Sunday, that two members of the Islamic State group were killed, while trying to sneak into a joint security checkpoint in Naft Khana, northeast of Baqubah.

Head of the committee, Sadiq al-Husseini, said in a press statement, “Forces from the 3rd detachment of the army’s 5th Commando brigade managed, today, to kill two fighters of the Islamic State group, while trying to sneak into a checkpoint in the area of Naft Khana (95 Km northeast of Baqubah).”

“The imposed security procedures contribute to foiling the attempts of the Islamic State to sneak into the area,” Husseini added.

Noteworthy, members of the Islamic State group are launching several attacks on security forces in the area of Naft Khana.
