(IraqiNews.com) A former U.S. soldier has returned to Iraq to help train Christians to fight ISIS, according to a report by CBS News.

Brett Felton, U.S. soldier who was deployed to Iraq in 2006 and was discharged in 2007, went to Iraq on his own accord in order to help train Christian militias to fight against the ISIS group militants.

“I’m not here serving my country – I’m here serving Christians,” Felton told CBS 60 Minutes on Monday.

Felton says he isn’t afraid to die in Iraq battling ISIS militants.

“I have a Bible verse that’s my favorite: Be faithful unto death and I shall give you the crown of life,” the 28-year-old veteran added.
