28 women, 2 young men killed by armed attack in eastern Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A source in the Iraqi police reported that 28 women and two young men killed in an armed attack targeted a residential building in eastern Baghdad.

The source said, in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that “unidentified gunmen attacked, in the evening, an apartment building in Zayouna district eastern Baghdad.

They stormed a number of apartments and opened fire toward the occupants, killing 28 women and two young men.”

The source added, who requested not to be named, that “the security force cordoned off the scene and moved the bodies to forensic medicine, and opened an investigation to find out who was behind the incident.”
