URGENT: 3000 tribal fighters back Iraqi forces blockading Heet

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, the leader of the Army Brigade of Baghdadi district, Col. Shaaban al-Abidi announced that the armed tribal volunteers are backing Iraqi forces in blockading Heet in western Ramadi.

Al-Abidi informed IraqiNews, “Iraqi Army forces located in Ain al-Asad base had sent reinforcements consisting of heavy weapons, gear and ammunition to the tribal fighters gathered near Heet to back the security forces. About 3000 fighters backing Iraqi forces from the 7th Brigade are now blockading Heet from al-Baghdadi district, 90 km west of Ramadi.”
