Urgent: al-Baghdadi, senior ISIS leaders injured in aerial bombing in Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday,  a local source in Nineveh province revealed there are reports about the injury of the ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and a number of prominent senior leaders in aerial strikes launched by the international coalition southeast of Mosul.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition aircrafts launched, Thursday evening, airstrikes targeted an ISIS gathering that included the organization’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as well as a number of its leading figures in Salamia district southeast of the city of Mosul.”

The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, added, “There are reports about the injury of al-Baghdadi and a number of ISIS prominent senior leaders because of these strikes.”

It is noteworthy that the city of Mosul have been under the control of the ISIS organization since June 10, 2014. It suffers from a major security and humanitarian crisis because the organization seeks to impose its “extreme vision” on all aspects of life in the city.
