Urgent: Dead and wounded in 3 suicide bombings north of Baghdad

 

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, according to a police source, a number of elements of the Army’s associate members (volunteer fighters, known as al-Hashed al-Sha’bi, and tribesmen) had been killed or wounded in three suicide bombings in al-Moshahada area north of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Three suicide bombers wearing explosive belts blew themselves up this afternoon, targeting a gathering of the Army’s associate members in al-Moshahada area in the north of Baghdad, which led to the fall of a number of the associate members.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added, “Security forces cordoned off the scene, while ambulances transported the dead bodies to the Forensic Medicine Department and the wounded to a nearby hospital.”
