URGENT: Iraqi military units arrive near Biji

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday the chief of the police forces in Salahuddin announced that Iraqi Army brigades arrived near Biji, and called the armed clans to support the security forces in the province.

Al-Namas informed IraqiNews that Iraqi military units arrived today near Biji, 40 km north of Tikrit. The military operation is ongoing and Biji to be liberated within a few days.

He said “After my injury during the clashes in Al-Mehazam in northern Tikrit, I received a medical treatment in the field and returned to the battle in the same day.” He also urged the armed clans to support the security troops in the province.
