URGENT – ISIS launches a violent attack on Balad

 

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday—according to a security source in Salahuddin province—the so-called Islamic state in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) launched a severe attack on Balad district in the south of Tikrit, indicating that the organization used various kinds of weapons in the attack.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that, “ISIS elements launched a vicious attack on Balad district (80 km south of Tikrit) this afternoon,” noting that “the elements of the organization used various kinds of weapons in the attack.”

The source—who preferred not to be named—said, “Dozens of people from Balad district were injured as a result of the attack.”
