Urgent – Mortar attack kills, injures 12 in Mahmudiya district

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) 12 persons were either killed or injured due a mortar attack that hit Mahmudiya district to the south of Baghdad on Friday.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “Four mortar shells exploded in Mahmudiya district (20 km) to the south of Baghdad which resulted in killing four persons and injuring eight others.”

“Police forces transported the dead bodies to the morgue and the injuries were transported to the hospital for treatment,” the source added.
