Urgent – Nineveh’s Governor survives assassination

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Nineveh province, Atheel al-Nijaifi, survived an assassination attempt to the north of Mosul city on Monday.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) ”The motorcade of the Nijaifi suffered an explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device in Qausiyat area of northern Mosul,” noting that ”The explosion of the IED did not result in any human casualties or material damages.”

”The Governor of Nineveh has survived two assassination attempts in 28, August and 13, July,” the source concluded.
