Urgent – Police commander survives assassination western Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Police Commander of Um al-Rabeeain Station survived an assassination attempt when a bomb exploded to the west of Mosul city.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com Tuesday “A bomb, emplaced in Najjar neighborhood of western Mosul, exploded targeting the motorcade of Um al-Rabeeain Police Station, Brigadier Faris Hashim Khalil, on Tuesday evening,” noting that “The explosion resulted in injuring Brigadier Khalil along with four police elements.”

“Police forces cordoned off the explosion site and transported the injuries to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
