Fahdawi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Security forces, with the support of tribal fighters, managed to repulse the biggest ISIS attack on Ramadi, after a breach occurred in al-Sajaria area east of the city.”

Fahdawi added, “A force within the 8th and 10th divisions with the support of Iraqi army, police and tribal fighters are now besieging the ISIS elements in al-Sjaria area,” adding, “The Army Aviation and the International Coalition have not implemented any sorties since the attack on Ramadi yesterday.”

Fahdawi continued, “Security forces are in dire need for air support to curb ISIS’s progress.”
