Urgent … Security official survives assassination attempt

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Director General of the Social Police Department within the Ministry of Interior Colonel, Mushtaq al-Mohmadawi, survived an assassination attempt of southern Baghdad.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Unidentified gunmen opened fire, targeting Mohamadawi resulted in injuring him in al-Dora area of southern Baghdad.”

“The attack resulted in injuring Mohamadawi’s driver who passed away while being transferred to the hospital,” the source added, noting that “The gunmen managed to escape.”
