URGENT: Unauthorized military aircraft penetrate Iraqi airspace to deliver military equipment says Iraq’s Office of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces

On Sunday, the Office of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces confirmed that military planes penetrated Iraqi airspace and delivered military equipment without the approval of the Iraqi government.

Iraqiya TV channel quoted, in Newsflash, on the Office of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces as saying, “It is observed during the past few days the penetrating of our airspace, and the delivery of military equipment, by military aircraft without the approval of the Iraqi government.”

The Office of the Adjutant General of the Armed Forces warned all countries from exploiting the security situation in northern Iraq to penetrate the national sovereignty.

The office noted “We warn all the countries of the exploitation of the security situation in northern Iraq to penetrate the national sovereignty and providing local points with arms and ammunition without our consent.”

The Office added that “we welcome the international attitude which supports Iraq in its war against terrorism, emphasizing the need to respect the sovereignty of Iraq.”
