USA will not deploy ground forces to Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Embassy of the United States in Baghdad announced on Tuesday that the international alliance in the fight against the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) will cover lots of areas without the intervention of US ground troops.

An official within the US Embassy in Baghdad during a press conference today stated that “The international alliance against the ISIS group will cover lots of areas in Iraq without the intervention with ground troops, noting that some countries will provide direct military aids and the ground forces will include only Iraqi troops and the Peshmerga.”
