Violations on water streams to be removed in southern provinces

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The office of the commander general of armed forces instructed to remove the violations on the water streams in Babel, Diwaniya and Muthana provinces.

The office reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday ”The Director of the office of the commanding general of armed forces, General Faruq al-Araji, held a meeting with Babel governor Mohamed al-Masudi, Diwaniya governor Salem Hussein Alwan and Muthana governor Ibraheem al-Mayali,” noting that “The meeting included discussion of the plan of distributing water shares and the main obstacles which face the implementation of the plan.”

”The office of the commanding general of the armed forces instructed to remove all violations on water streams and networks and to lift all unlicensed water pumps emplaced on rivers in addition to closing the unlawful fisharies,” pointing out that ”The water share of Muthana province will be increased.” \
