Basra to host Khaliji 22nd championship

Bahrain (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Football team within Khaliji 21 championship, which is held in the Bahraini capital Manama, delivered the file of hosting the next Khaliji championship that is scheduled to be held in Basra in 2015.The Head of the Iraqi delegation and the Deputy Chairman of Iraqi Football Association, Abdul Khaliq Masud, stated to the correspondent of IraqiNews.com ”We have offered the hosting file to the committee that supervises the championship in order to be presented on the general conference of Khaliji unions chairmen which is supposed to be held in Manama on the 17th of January 2013.””The hosting file included all the details related to hosting Khaliji 22nd football championship such as the infrastructure, the sport city and all the facilities which confirm that Iraq is more than ready to host this sport event, ”he added.During the meeting of the secretaries of Kaliji football unions, it has been decided to held the Khaliji 21st championship in Bahrain instead of being held in Basra, as it was supposed to be, where they promised to held the next championship in Basra in 2015. \
