IFA denies receiving Zico resignation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Football Association denied receiving a formal resignation from Zico, the coach of the Iraqi national football team.

The official spokesperson of the Football Association, Naem Sadam, mentioned to IraqiNews.com on last Wednesday ”The IFA will hold an urgent meeting to discuss the resignation of Zico and take the right decision about it,” adding that ”The Brazilian coach tasked his personal translator to call the chairman of the IFA and the head of the Olympic Committee to inform them regarding his resignation.”

The coach Zico published at his website ”I would like to report that I have sent a letter the Iraqi Football Association in which I declare the cancellation of my contract with the IFA due to failure of the IFA in fulfilling the terms of the contract, and I will reveal more details later.” \
