IFA: Iraqi Football National Team prepares to meet Brazil next October
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Reliable source from the Iraqi Football Association IFA assured that “The Iraqi National Football Team will gather on September 27th in Baghdad within the course of its preparations to meet its Brazilian counterpart in the friendly match to be held in the Sweden city of Malmo on October 11.
The source mentioned to Iraqi News Thursday “The team will gather in a training camp in Baghdad under the supervision of its Brazilian Coach, Zico, and his assistants who will return to Baghdad on September 26th,” noting that “The Iraqi team will have another training camp in Turkey to last till October 9th then will travel to Sweden to meet the Brazilian team in the friendly match on October 11.”
“These training camps and the match against the Brazilian team come within the preparations of the Iraqi team to play against Australia on October 16 within the course of the fourth round of Qualifications for the World Cup in Brazil 2014,” the source added.
It is worth to mention that “Iraq comes third in the second group with two points from two draws and a defeat while the top of the group goes to the Japanese team with ten points ahead of the Jordanian team which comes second with four points.
