(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Iraqi Football Association confirmed on Tuesday that Iran’s Union has not yet responded to the request of hosting national team games on Iran’s stadiums, and stated that the Lebanese stadiums are an alternate option, while the Jordanian Union announced it would no longer host Iraqi team matches.

Member of the Iraqi Football Association Kamil Zughayyar said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The Iranian Union has not yet responded to the request to receive national team games of Russia World Cup on Iran’s stadiums,” noting that, “Iraqi Football Association hasn’t decided yet in which country the national team will play its games.”

Zughayyar revealed that the Jordanian Union would no longer host the national team games, and added the Lebanese stadiums can be an alternative option.
