2500 Russians are fighting alongside ISIS in Syria

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Russian Social Council said that nearly 2500 Russian citizens are fighting alongside ISIS in Syria.

Head of the Civic chamber commission on the public diplomacy and support of compatriots abroad Elena Sutormina said: “recent data indicate that there are about 2500 Russian citizens and 7000 citizens of other independent states are there.”

Sutormina added in a radio interview that those who recruited militants are giving special attention to the residents of the villages and mountain villages “where there are no prospects for young people.”
