Erbil (IraqiNews.com) On Monday over 30 Kurdish parties appealed to the United States and its allies to intervene to help the Syrian city of Kobani and stop the attacks of the organization ISIS. They also called on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to officially recognize the local Kurdish administrations in Syria.

The General Secretary of the National Union of KDP, Ghafour Makhmuri, said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “this evening 30 Kurdish parties from all parts of Kurdistan met in Erbil to discuss the situation in the Kurdish Syrian city of Kobanî which is facing a big attack by the terrorist organization ISIS”, noting that “the Kurdish parties announced their solidarity with the struggle of the Kurdish people in Syria.”
