Assad and Putin meet in Moscow
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in an unannounced visit to Moscow.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that “President Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad discussed, yesterday, matters relating to the Russian air campaign in Syria.”
Peskov added, “Of course, the fight against the terrorist groups, and issues related to the Russian operation and supporting the offensive operations of the Syrian armed forces.”
