Austria emphasizes the need for Bashar al-Assad in the fight against ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz announced on Tuesday, that the West should include the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the fighting against ISIS.
Kurz said in an interview with a number of media networks: “We need a common practical approach in this regard that includes the participation of Assad in fighting the terrorism of ISIS.”
Kurz added that he does not see Assad as a part of a long-term solution, but he must be involved in any immediate peace talks.
