Hama (Syria News) Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) managed, on Thursday, to capture two Villages, in the eastern countryside of Hama, from the Islamic State militants, military sources told Qasioun News.

The sources informed that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham militia managed to capture Sukary and Abu Kahf Villages, in the eastern countryside of Hama, from the Islamic State group, after violent clashes between the two sides.

Clashes broke out between Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the Islamic State militants, and lasted from last night until today, among an offensive launched by the HTS to drive out the militant group from the areas it captured recently, the sources added.

Furthermore, HTS was able to retake Um Mayal and Tulaihan Villages from the Islamic State group, after bombarding their headquarters with heavy artillery, leaving dozens of casualties.

It is noteworthy that the Islamic State militants managed to cross towards the northern areas of Syria, after withdrawing from Uqayribat District, in eastern Hama.
