(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD- A well placed sourced in the Ministry of Defense informed that the internal coalition led by the US carried out 31 airstrikes against ISIS at various locations in Iraq and Syria.

“The US-led coalition carried out 21 airstrikes against several ISIS locations. Additionally in Iraq, coalition forces carried out 10 strikes against ISIS and these strikes were carried out with the support of the Iraqi Government,” added the source seeking anonymity.

Explaining details about the strikes, the source further informed that in Syriya the strikes were carried out near Deir ez-Zor, Manbij, and Mara towns, and destroyed an ISIS used crane, front-end loader, several vehicles, heavy machine gun, a tactical vehicle apart from destroying several strategic positions of ISIS.

“In Iraq, the airstrikes were carried out near five places including Mosul, Heet and al-Baghdadi. In the strikes, an ISIS headquarters, a training camp, large number of vehicles, a cache of weapons and a tunnel entrance,” the source concluded.

It may be mentioned here that the US-led international coalition has been carrying out airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq a Syria since 2014 and so far have gunned down a number of top leaders of the organization.
