Tehran (IraqiNews.com) Iran announced that it has developed its first cruise missile with a range of 700 kilometers.

According to Iranian Fars News Agency, the new missile, “Ya Ali,” is said to be capable of being fired from ground launchers as well as by fighter jets with a range of 700 kilometers.

The commander of the Revolutionary Guards Aerospace Force, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said: “It is a land-based cruise missile built by the IRGC Aerospace Force and another land-based cruise missile has also been built by the defense ministry,”

It is worth noting that, the United States and Israel believe that the Iranian nuclear program is aimed at developing an atomic bomb, a charge which Tehran denies. But western countries have concerns about the range of Iran’s missiles.
