Iraqi Foreign Minister urges returning Syria back to Arab League

Baghdad ( The Iraqi Foreign Minister has urged necessity of returning Syria back to the Arab League, saying it should not be isolated from its neighbors.

“No one can isolate Syria,” Ibrahim al-Jaafari, the minister, during his visit to Damascus, calling for dialogue in order to restore ties.

He also praised Damascus “for being strong facing hardships”

The Arab League, which includes, 22 member countries, froze the membership of Syria after the eruption of the civil war in 2011, which was followed by sanctions and severing diplomatic ties.

Around 450,000 Syrians were killed in the war. The country was witnessed destruction due to violence, which urged intervention of regional and international armies in addition to foreign militants.
