Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Joint Operations Command announced on Wednesday the liberation of 22 neighborhoods located on the eastern side of Mosul.

The Command said in a press statement, “Troops of Federal Police continue search and cleanse operations of buildings and roads from IEDs in the southwestern axis of operations in Mosul,” pointing out that, “Troops of the army’s 9th Armored Brigade and 3rd regiment of the 1st Brigade managed to advance into the areas of Hayy al-Eintsar, Jadida Mofty, al-Salam, Younis al-Sab’awi and Palestine, and continue to cleanse roads and buildings in these areas.”

“Anti-Terrorism forces managed to advance into the western axis of operations, and started cleansing liberated areas, including the neighborhoods of al-Bakr and al-Zohour,” the statement explained. “The number of the IED cleansed areas reached 22 neighborhoods.
