UN, New York (IraqiNews.com) Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Monday that a nuclear-armed Iran would pose a far greater threat to the world than Islamic State militants.

“Make no mistake, ISIS must be defeated, but to defeat ISIS and leave Iran as a threshold nuclear power is to win the battle and lose the war” Netanyahu said during the United Nations General Assembly.

“Iran’s nuclear military capabilities must be fully dismantled,” He also said.

Netanyahu referred Iran as the Islamic State of Iran and commented on Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani’s speech about ISIS last week, saying that Iran’s President has shed crocodile tears about the ISIS threat.

Rouhani said that he supports the efforts to fight ISIS but noted that the ISIS situation should be handled by the regional neighbors of Iraq and Syria, not countries outside the Middle East.
