Obama sent a secret letter to Iran’s Supreme leader Khamenei

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, U.S. President Barack Obama sent a secret letter to Iran’s Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in which he included the mutual interests between the two nations in fighting the ISIS group.

Several media sources reported that President Obama has sent the secret letter to Iran’s Supreme leader Khamenei last month, and used it to stress that any cooperation between the United States and Iran is hinging on reaching an agreement over the nuclear program in Iran with the Western powers.

Noteworthy, the White House refused to confirm or deny that Obama sent a secret letter to Iran’s Khamenei, adding that it cannot discuss any private correspondence between U.S. President and other world leaders.
