Rebels kills, capture Syrian regime allied militias near Zakf military base

Homs (Syria News) A number of Syrian regime forces allied Iranian militants were killed and others were captured, on Saturday, in an ambush set by the Syrian rebels, while clashes broke out between the two sides, east of Homs.
Qasioun News reported that a number of Iranian militants were killed and others were wounded, at dawn today, in an ambush set by Syrian rebels’ Jaysh Maghaweer al-Thawra (Army of Revolution Commando), near al-Zakf base, east of Homs.
Meanwhile, clashes broke out between the two sides for more than an hour, using light and heavy weapons, where Army forces managed to recapture two military vehicles belonging to the militias.
It is noteworthy that the U.S.-led coalition-backed Jaysh Maghaweer al-Thawra militia is stationed in al-Tanf and al-Zakf bases, east of Homs, on the Syrian-Jordanian borders, while regime forces and allied militias are stationed in several military bases, near the Iraqi-Syrian borders.
