(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, a Russian Mi-28N helicopter crashed in the countryside of Homs Province in Syria, and two crewmen have died.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “A group of aircraft accident experts is working at the crash site. The cause of the accident is being investigated.”

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “Nobody shot at the aircraft, and this is probably a technical failure.”

A rescue operation recovered the pilots’ bodies and took them to the Khmemim airbase.
