 Saudi Interior Ministry announces 22 people killed, wounded in bomb blast southwestern the Kingdom

(IraqiNews.com) The Saudi Interior Ministry announced on Thursday, that 22 people have been either killed or injured in a suicide bombing that targeted the “emergency forces” mosque in the area of Asir, located in the southwestern region of the kingdom.

The agency quoted the Saudi spokesman of the ministry as saying, “While a group of private employees of the emergency forces were performing their prayer at the mosque of the headquarters of the forces, a bomb blast targeted the masses of worshipers resulting in the death of ten of the employees and three other workers, in addition to wounding nine others.”

He also added, “Some body parts were founded and believed to be the result of detonation of explosive belts,” noting that, “the incident is still under investigation by the security authorities.”
