(IraqiNews.com) Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Monday, while attending the funeral for victims of an attack at Cairo’s Coptic Christian cathedral, that a suicide bomber carried out the attack.

Egyptian security forces had arrested three other men and a woman in connection with the bombing.

Speaking at a state funeral for the victims, Sisi identified the suicide bomber as 22-year-old Shafik Mahmoud Mohamed Mostafa.

“The attack brought us great pain but we will never be torn apart. We will only be much stronger. We will hold steadfast and, God willing, we will succeed,” Sisi said.

The bombing on Sunday killed 24 people, mostly women and children, and wounded nearly 49 others in the blast in a chapel adjoining the cathedral during a Sunday service.
