Syrian army besieges Mayadin City in Deir Ezzour

Deir Ezzour (Syria News) Syrian army forces managed to besiege the Islamic State militants in the city of Mayadin, in the countryside of Deir Ezzour, after violent clashes between them, Qasioun News reported on Sunday.
Qasioun revealed in a report that the Syrian army was also able to retake the village of Marat, while advanced on several axes in the city of Deir Ezzour.
Pro-regime media outlets reported that the army forces and allied militias recaptured Rahba fortress and other several areas, southwest of the city of Mayadin, in the eastern countryside Deir Ezzour after battles with the Islamic State.
It is noteworthy that the army forces and allied militias, backed by Russian Air force, managed to recapture large areas of Syrian Badeya (Mayadeen – Dier Ezzor).
