Turkey considers ground troops, President says it cannot stay out of the alliance against ISIS

Istanbul ( The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that his country cannot stay outside the international alliance, which seeks to defeat the organization ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

Erdogan said during a meeting of the World Economic Forum in Istanbul “we will hold talks with the relevant institutions this week. We will certainly be in the place where we should be; we cannot stay out of this matter.”

The Turkish president renewed his call for the establishment of a buffer zone and a no-fly zone in Syria to protect the Turkish border and the refugees, pointing to the possibility to use troops on the ground.
