(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – An official U.S. source announced on Friday, that ISIS second-in-command was killed in an air strike in Syria.

US Secretary of Defense Ash Carter said during a press conference in the Pentagon followed by IraqiNews.com, “Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli, ISIS second-in-command, was killed as part of US effort to ‘systematically eliminate ISIS cabinet” adding that, “Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli had been associated with ISIS dating back to its earliest iteration as al-Qaida in Iraq.”

Carter also pointed out, “He was serving as Finance Minister and also responsible “for some external affairs and plots.”
