Woman injures three in Brussels stabbing attack

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A woman stabbed and injured three people on a bus in Brussels on Monday. She was later shot at and injured by the police, informed local Belgian media.
Even though officials were not immediately available for comment, but public broadcaster RTBF quoted unidentified sources as saying ‘police did not believe the incident was politically motivated and that the assailant had mental health problems’.
The assailant shot by the police was taken to hospital. The incident is not being labelled as a terrorist atrocity as the woman is said to have suffered psychiatric problems for several years.
One eyewitness claimed that the stabber, identified as a 52-year-old Filipino, acted in a ‘confused’ fashion.
It may be City of Brussels has been on high alert since local ISIS militants on November last year carried out the attacks in Paris. Moreover, the city itself was attacked by ISIS suicide bombers in March earlier this year.
