(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday the Ministerial Council for National Security held a meeting chaired by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.

The Information Office of the Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The general commander of the armed forces, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security,” adding that, “The council praised the victories achieved by our heroic armed forces, police and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi and al-Asha’ri [militias] in the liberation of Fallujah.”

The statement also added, “The council approved a memorandum of understanding between the military medical directorate at the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
