(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday, Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the political party “the Sadrist,” called the Iraqi government to issue strict procedures regarding the independence of Iraq and its sovereignty, while warned of “the beginning of the end.”

Al-Sadr said in response to a question addressed to him about his opinion of what Italy announced in regards to sending elements of its army to Mosul Dam to protect it, and whether Iraq has became open for anyone to enter it, dissenting all international norms and laws, “With extreme regret, America and its detestable alliances then Russia then Turkey then Italy, etc. This, if anything, is a proof of their disregard for the independence and the sovereignty of Iraq.”

He pointed out, “This will not be tolerated,” calling the government to “Issue strict procedures in this regard, otherwise it will be the beginning of the end.”

It’s worth mentioning that the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi announced on December 16, 2015, that combat troops from his country are about to head to Iraq to contribute in the war against ISIS and protect Mosul Dam from failure, while noted that 450 soldiers will leave after the approval of Parliament.
