Alewi calls Ministerial Committee to consider Marshes citizens\

Baghdad ( MP, Kareem Alewi, of the Iraqi National Alliance called the seven-side Ministerial Committee to consider the demands of the citizens living in the Marshes who suffered a lot during the former regime.

He stated to “The citizens of the Marshes in southern Iraq suffered a lot from the injustice of the former regime so in this stage the Government and the parliament must stand by them and to compensate them.”

“They lost their houses and their proprieties when the former regime dried the marshes and pursued them and currently they suffered from marginalization while the Government is implanting the demonstrators’ demands,” he added.

“The Government must be fair towards all the Iraqis especially in the central and southern Iraq,” he concluded.
